Paneer Bhurji is a beloved North Indian dish that combines crumbled paneer with a spicy onion-tomato masala. It's similar in concept to scrambled eggs but made vegetarian-friendly with Indian spices. Its versatility makes it a favorite for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. This dish is high in protein, quick to prepare, and pairs well with both breads and rice.

Ingredients
  • 200g paneer, crumbled
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tomato, finely chopped
  • 1 green chili, chopped (optional)
  • ½ inch ginger, grated
  • ½ tsp turmeric powder
  • ½ tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • ½ tsp garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp oil or ghee
  • Fresh coriander for garnish
Add all to trolley
Method
Step 1

Heat oil in a pan. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.

Step 2

Add grated ginger, green chili, and tomatoes. Cook until soft and mushy.

Step 3

Mix in turmeric, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Cook for 1-2 mins.

Step 4

Add crumbled paneer and stir well to combine. Cook for 2–3 minutes.

Step 5

Sprinkle garam masala, mix, and turn off the flame. Garnish with fresh coriander.

Step 6

Serve hot with roti, paratha, or toasted bread. Enjoy!
